Acclaimed Philly Songwriter Sug Daniels to Open Doylestown's 'Concerts at the Commons'

Free outdoor concert series returns to Broad Commons Park every Thursday in May

Doylestown, PA — The much-anticipated 'Concerts at the Commons' series is set to make a vibrant return to Broad Commons Park this May, offering free live music every Thursday evening.

Kicking off the series on May 7 is the acclaimed Philadelphia singer-songwriter Sug Daniels, known for her unique blend of folk, rock, and soul that delivers heartfelt messages of truth and positive change.

Joining Daniels is Clover Stieve from Frenchtown, NJ, whose fusion of folk, pop, and soul, inspired by artists like Lake Street Dive and Carole King, creates a sound that resonates across generations.

The series continues on May 14 with Snacktime, a dynamic soul and funk band from Philadelphia that gained popularity during the COVID-19 pandemic with free performances in Rittenhouse Square. Opening for them is Doylestown's own jazz fusion trio, Colacore.

On May 21, Upstate New York's folk rockers Driftwood take the stage, with Katelynn Casper of Serene Green starting the evening.

Closing out the series on May 28 is the energetic rock quartet Fat Mezz, accompanied by Doylestown's Hay Sugar.

Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets to this pet-friendly event. Neshaminy Creek Brewing Co. and Main Street Sport & Social will provide beverages, and food trucks will be on-site to offer a variety of dining options.

Parking is convenient, with the Bucks County Parking Garage located just feet away from the venue.

The series is supported by Fred Beans Automotive Group, C&N Bank, The Monkey's Uncle, and The Lisa Povlow Team of Kurfiss Sotheby’s International Realty.
