Get out the lederhosen, or at least a good sweater.
Peddler's Village celebrates its 10th OctoberFeast this weekend. It's an Oktoberfest-style party with a beer garden, German-inspired food, and local breweries and vineyards.
The music is the best part. The Philadelphia German Brass Band plays the main stage from noon to 5 p.m. both days, and the Galena Brass Band plays the gazebo from noon to 4.
On Sunday afternoon, look for the Give & Take Jugglers on the Street Road Green from 1 to 4.
There's plenty for kids, too: pumpkin painting, face painting, a petting zoo, gem mining and lawn games. Some activities cost extra.
Admission and regular parking are free. VIP parking is sold separately, and sales close at 2 p.m. the day before.
Go early on Saturday if you want a table in the beer garden, then wander the shops, which stay open until 8. |
