Brought my grandkids last year and they were fascinated by the whole thing. Getting them into classic rock early and proud of it.
Fingers crossed the weather cooperates. Nothing worse than a great lineup getting rained out halfway through.
Rumours is still one of the greatest albums ever made. Any band that can do it justice gets my full attention.
Buckingham Township does a good job with these. You can tell the organizers actually care about making it a nice experience.
Just moved to the area a few months ago and this sounds like the perfect way to meet people. Excited to check it out.
Welcome to the area, these concerts are genuinely one of the best ways to meet neighbors both new and long-established, so grab a blanket and come early!
I live about 20 minutes from Hansell Park and these concerts are worth every bit of the drive. Really well run events.
Twenty minutes well spent, we love hearing that the experience is worth the trip, and we hope the Fleetwood Mac tribute makes the drive feel even shorter on the way home!
ADA accessibility is always worth mentioning. My mom uses a wheelchair and it means a lot that she can come and enjoy it too.
Cheryl O.Same with my aunt. It really does make a huge difference knowing she won't have to struggle just to enjoy a night out. Hansell Park has always been good about that.
Thank you for saying this, making sure everyone, including your mom, can enjoy a full evening of live music under the stars is exactly why ADA accessibility at Hansell Park is worth highlighting.
Went to one of these with my dad a few years back. He passed last year. Thinking I will go this time and remember him. Fleetwood Mac was his favorite.
Dan WhelanThat really got me. I hope you go and it brings back some good memories of him. Sounds like exactly the kind of night he would have loved.
Local eats and live music is all I need on a summer night. This sounds like a great lineup this year.
Nina_LevittRight there with you. Throw in a warm evening and good company and honestly what more do you need. Already planning what to bring from that new place on Main Street.
We think so too, and with new local vendors added to the lineup this year, the food options are better than ever to complement the music!
These concerts really do bring the neighborhood together. You run into people you have not seen since last summer every single time.
That spontaneous reconnection with neighbors is one of the most cherished parts of these evenings, and it's precisely why these concerts have become the heart of summer in Buckingham Township.
Anyone know what time they usually start? I want to get there early enough to grab a good spot on the grass.
Susanne ParkFrom what I remember they usually kick things off around 7pm but I would get there by 6:30 to be safe. The good spots go fast once people start rolling in with their chairs and blankets.
A step above other tribute acts is a bold claim. Hoping they live up to the hype this time.
My neighbors and I make a whole night of it every year. Potluck before then walk over together. Cannot beat it.
BettyAnn WalshThis is such a good idea. We always scramble to figure out dinner beforehand. Might have to steal this and suggest it to our street this year.
Philadelphia band coming out to Bucks County is always a good sign. Philly musicians bring real energy to a show.
Tom KellerTotally agree. There is something about Philly bands that just hit differently live. They are used to tough crowds so they come prepared to bring it every single time.
The part about kids dashing around while everyone relaxes on blankets is exactly what happens. Such a good vibe every time.
Thursday evenings are tough for some working families. Wish they would mix in a Friday or Saturday here and there.
Everywhere is one of my all time favorite songs. If they play that I will probably cry happy tears on my lawn chair.
"Everywhere" is one of those songs that just hits differently under the open sky, and Yesterday's Gone's attention to vocal detail means you're in for a very emotional evening, have your tissues ready!
Grew up in Buckingham Township and these summer concerts have been going on for years. Great to see them getting even better.
I hope they add more food vendors this year. Last time the lines were pretty long and we missed a couple songs waiting.
Patty EllsworthSame thing happened to us last summer. We split up so one person held the spot and one waited in line, which helped. Hopefully with more vendors this year the lines move faster.
Not a huge Fleetwood Mac fan but my wife is, so we will probably go. These things are usually fun either way.
Free parking and easy access makes such a difference. More events should take notes from Hansell Park.
Hansell Park really does set a wonderful standard, and we're glad the free parking and accessibility make it easy for everyone to focus on what matters, the music and the community.
Tanya KowalskiCompletely agree. I went to a concert at another venue last month and parking was a nightmare. Made the whole night stressful before it even started. Hansell Park really does get it right.
I saw Yesterday's Gone at another venue and honestly they blew me away. The harmonies are really something else.
Took my kids last year and they loved running around while we listened to the music. Best family night out around here.
That's exactly the kind of magic these evenings are made for, kids dashing around while the music plays is one of our favorite sights at Hansell Park, and we hope to see your family back again this year!
Fleetwood Mac tribute is exactly what we needed this summer. Go Your Own Way under the stars sounds amazing.
We went last summer and already have our blankets and chairs ready for this one. Hansell Park is such a perfect spot for these evenings.
